It works by designating "Chatter & Natter" tables in participating venues, where customers can sit if they are open to chatting with others, especially those who might be on their own. The scheme also offers online chat sessions and a telephone friendship service for those who prefer or need alternative ways to connect.

Our lovely volunteer came in to MAYS one day and loved it so much she asked if she could set up a "CHATTY TABLE' one day a week. She'd been inspired by a TV programme 'This Morning' highlighting the benefits of the scheme and advertising volunteer roles.
We loved the ldea at Mays, we love to bring the local community together and so.... t

We have a dedicated table each week, welcoming old members and new members. It's an opportunity to chat and meet new people, who are local, they could be in the same position as you, they could share other places to go, or simply enjoy a cuppa and a chat.
